Spring Has Sprung?

It’s April and this is my first blog post or the year.  Sad!  I used to be on my game to post at least once a month but clearly I’ve fallen off the last couple of years.  Is it because I’m older and more tired?  Or that our kids are at an age that they just keep us busy?  Or that my work can be demanding and so I don’t want to start typing after I’ve put kids to bed and e-mails away?  Maybe it’s a bit of all of the above.  Either way, I’m going to try to improve and get back to updating you, the few readers that I have, on our lives.  Really, I think this blog has become a way to help me remember all that’s going on and hopefully it’s something our kids can refer back to in the future. 

Now, let’s talk about spring break 2021 versus 2022.  They were quite different!! 

2021:   Last year we drove to DC for a night to explore the National Mall and then met our awesome friends, the Grugans, as well as both sets of grandparents in the Outer Banks for a week of chilly beach fun.

2022: This year spring break wasn’t as long of a trip and maybe not quite as exciting of a destination but it was still fun!  We met up with our amazing friends, the Nielands, from KC in St Louis for the weekend and hit our state capital on the way home.  The rest of the week was spent with kids hanging out with Gloria or us as Rich and I had to work.  No worries though, we have a fun Easter trip coming up that I can’t wait to share how it goes with you all.
