8 Months!

Zach is 8 months old today!  As you can see from the series of photos below.  These monthly pictures are getting a little harder to take although he finds his hijinx to be pretty funny. 

And a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Grandpa Bill as well!!  How old are you, Grandpa?

Vacation!!

So last week we took our first family vacation with Zach.  We traveled to Hickory to briefly visit Nana and Grandpa and then they were nice enough to let us borrow their car to drive to Hilton Head, SC and meet up with a few friends.  I'm not going to write much in this post but rather just show you with photos.  Nothing too crazy happens on a trip with 6 adults and 4 children (rough ages:  3 yrs, 7 months, 2.5 months, and 2 months).  In fact after about 2 days Rich and I realized that vacations are drastically different with children and we don't expect them to return to what they used to be for several years. 

Needless to say we had a great time with our friends and Zach had a full week of firsts!

We went to Savannah for an afternoon to do a little site seeing.  Unfortunately we didn't take many photos but we did do a trolley tour of the city as proven by Zach's sticker.  And his dog Oscar of course had to come along but had a bit of a run in with the stroller wheels.  No worries!  He is all cleaned up not and back in action with Zach.

And here is the whole gang!  We had a great time with the Cannons and Elliotts.  Can't wait for next year!

Back to Hickory for another day where Zach went to his first baseball game and saw his first fireworks!

Zach did great with all the travel and seemed pretty excited for all his new adventures.  He really loved the water so we will have to explore our pool options here in Evanston.
