Happy Memorial Day!

I think Memorial Day is slowly becoming one of my favorite holidays.  I know....kind of odd.  The past two years we have had really fun, low key holiday weekends.  No major plans or commitments, just playing with the boys, hanging out with friends and enjoying good weather.   I hope all of you had a fun relaxing weekend as well!

Friday started the weekend off with a field trip to the zoo for Zach (and Rich) with Zach's class.

And Gloria was kind enough to make Friday special for Gunnar as well and took him to the movies via a bus!

Saturday our friends from Kansas City joined us to spend the weekend together.  I hate having one of my best friends so far away but I love that our families have so much fun when together. 

Today was fun with a trip to see the Wilmette Memorial Day parade with Grandma and Boppa.

And on a final note.......last weekend Zach got his first "Piston Cup" (aka trophy) and we finally made headway in getting prepped for Cheeseburger's arrival.

 

 Fingers crossed for smooth sailing the next few weeks.  Who knows when little Cheeseburger will decide to make an appearance!

Gunnar is 3!!

This boy is 3 years old!!!

Gunnar turned 3 last Friday and we had a weekend full of fun.  Nana and Boppa even drove up for the festivities.  We can't believe it has been three years since he so hurriedly came into this world but it has been a lot of fun to see him turn into the funny little boy that he is.  He loves cars and trucks, playing outside, and pushing Zach's buttons.  He truly is funny and he knows it.  Not all of my photos are downloaded yet but here are a few of our birthday celebrations.
