Summer is here!!!

Summer has finally arrived in Chicago.  Well, kinda.....we've only had a few truly hot days and we've had quite a bit of rain.  At least it is warm though!  Scorching hot weather would just make us want to hit the pool which wouldn't be ideal right now considering Zach has a cast on his arm.  Yep, we've had a lot going on over the past few weeks.  Zach fractured his arm over Memorial Day weekend, I took a business trip to Vegas, the boys found another nearby park to play in, Nana came back for a visit to help us out with the boys while Gloria was on vacation, I competed in my first triathalon and survived, and the boys have had plenty of play time.  Oh, and yes.....Rich is actually around and doing well although you would never know by the pictures below.


Our first broken bone and trip to the ER wasn't fun for any of us but Zach was all smiles after he got comfortable with his blue cast. 

My trip to Vegas mostly consisted of a convention center, restaurants, bars and casinos but I did get to snap a shot of the water show outside of the Bellagio.

Zach had a "wardrobe" change and came home with a purple cast last week.  Only a few more days until he is out of the cast for good!!

Yes, mom thinks I'm insane, but I competed in my first sprint triathalon.  It was a race that Rich's company put on so I thought I'd give it a shot.  I survived!

And lastly Nana and Zach had a hay day shooting marshmallows.  You should have seen the two of them cracking each other up!

Only a couple of weeks until family vacation in the southeast!!  Can't wait to see everyone!
