6 Months!

Ok, so Zach turned 6 months old yesterday!  I would have posted this yesterday but I had some technical difficulties.  He is getting big!  I think I say that every month though.  I'm not quite sure how much he weighs but we should find that out at his next doctor's visit in a little over a week.  I'm sure he is over 20lbs.  He is super close to rolling over, sits up with a little help, and enjoys getting rice cereal all over his face every morning.  As you can see from these pictures, he is getting more active and is ready to get moving.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

So....the name of this post is the name of a song.  Several of you probably even know the words but quite frankly, I don't.  I know a few of them but my version quickly unravels after the "whiskers on kittens" part.  I guess it was never one of my favorite songs.  If I could rewrite the song to make it my own then this sound would be one of my favorite things.  Enjoy!

Mother's Day!

Today I got to enjoy my first Mother's Day!  It was off to a bit of a rough start when Zach decided to cry uncontrollably for longer than ever before around 12am but after a lot of rocking, swaying, singing, and finally a walk around our deck and driveway we both got a little shut-eye.  After that spell, Zach (and Rich) were kind enough to play together this morning and let me sleep in.  It was great!  Zach had already given me the gift he made me at daycare (see below) but he was savvy enough to come up with a nice card and small gift today.  The best gift was just having some time to play together in the yard.  Luckily we finally had some sunshine here!

Zach made this butterfly for me with a little help from his teachers.  I was very surprised to be getting one of these so soon!  I've always said that I won't keep all the macaroni necklaces and construction paper projects my children make however since this is the first I'm sure this one is a keeper.

And today Zach was full of smiles and more than happy to appease me by playing in the spring weather. 

Happy Mother's Day to Nana and Grandma and all the other wonderful mom's I know out there!  I hope you all had a great day and were spoiled and pampered all day long.

Chores

Yesterday we played catch up and did some much needed chores around the house.  I made Zach help me.  Start them early, right?!  Anyway, he was a great helper while I did laundry but he got a bit tuckered out and zonked out on his dad.
